KidsCan! Youth Singers Inspire

KidsCan! Youth Singers, a group of 40 youngsters from Pringle Bay, Bettys Bay and Kleinmond brought unity and energy to Hangklip-Kleinmond through singing and dancing as they staged their first music production, LEMONADE! to a full house on Sat, 8 May. The inspirational music production was specially written for KidsCan! Youth Singer and tells the story of how the right attitude helps to turn life's lemons into lemonade. A production like LEMONADE! is about much more than the singing and the fun. It's about teaching children that each person has the responsibility to develop him or herself, make the most of each opportunity and learn from each challenge.

Oxford University Press Voice Over Recordings

Rural children don't have as many opportunities as their peers in the city.  Therefore, we seek out opportunities where our kids can develop skills.  KidsCan! members were given the chance to do voice over recordings for Oxford University Press.  It was their first time in a professional studio!  They had to sing educational songs and read texts relating to Grade 2 & 3 second language learners.  This will be released on CD and be available to all schools in South Africa. WELL DONE GUYS!

Top Guns

A reward system encourages youngsters to improve their school marks, develop life skills and increase their social involvement. Melissa, Aldene & Harriet received a certificate for 100% attendance and a gift voucher as a reward.
